New Faculty Orientation
- New Faculty Orientation | As new Bobcat faculty, we invite you to participate in our New Faculty Orientation (N.F.O.) program. This event is exclusively for benefits-eligible faculty (50%-100% FTE). Newly hired faculty, faculty who have not previously been eligible for TXST benefits, or faculty returning after an extended absence should plan to attend.

New Tenure Track Orientation
- New Tenure-Track Orientation | NTTO information is currently transitioning to a new webpage. Please check back regularly for updates. Faculty Success emails all new tenure-track faculty information regarding NTTO, which takes place in August every fiscal year. Attendance is expected for all new tenure-track faculty and those who were previously in a nontenure line position and hired this year to a tenure-track position. This required session is in addition to attendance at New Faculty Orientation, and focuses on familiarizing you with policies, procedures, and practices that will help you be successful in progressing toward tenure.

TXST ID Card
- ID Services | The Texas State BobcatCard is for student, faculty, and staff use at Texas State University. These photo ID cards are used for privileged authorization, library use, meal plans, door access, and optional purchasing on and off campus.

Parking Pass
- Parking Services | Students, faculty, and staff must purchase a parking permit every Academic Year to park on campus.
- New Benefits Eligible Faculty | As a new full-time, benefits-eligible faculty member, you can purchase your parking permit before your first day of employment. Before you arrive on campus, you’ll be able to log in to the Parking Services portal to purchase your parking permit.
- A step-by-step user guide is available to walk you through the process. If you have any questions, please contact Parking Services or Human Resources for assistance.
- New Per Course Faculty | Since New Per Course Faculty are eligible to purchase passes on a semester basis, Per Course Faculty must wait for departments to submit a copy of the contract or PCR to Parking Services to purchase a permit. Temporary permits are also available for purchase online and are issued one week at a time. Once the proper documentation is submitted, the new employee should be able to make their purchase online.
